I was born and raised in Fountain Inn, SC. As a young boy, I was always drawing and doodling. As I got older, I began drawing out of tattoo magazines that my father bought me. When I was about 14 years old, my father's friend showed me how to build my own tattoo machine. From that moment on, I was hooked on tattooing. I used that home made tattoo machine until I was old enough to get a job and save my own money to buy a "professional" tattoo kit. I am a self taught artist. I learned more every day. And I am still learning more to this day.
I have my mom and dad to thank for encouraging me to continue with my dream of becoming a tattoo artist. They pushed me to do my best and expand my portfolio.
Before tattooing was legal in SC, I worked underground as an artist. I continued this, until a good friend introduced me to Phill with Inkworks Tattoo. I was given an opportunity to work in a tattoo shop for the first time, in Jacksonville, NC and worked there for about 3 years. I learned so much more about the business while working in a shop.
From NC, I moved back to SC to work, and have been back in Ft Inn for over 2 years.
I also have to thank my wife, Amber, for standing by me and supporting me with my tattoo career. I will continue to learn and take pride in the work I do at Inkworks Tattoo.
